The thing is a massive 55 inches curved 4k gaming screen that will change the way we play video games forever. In the past, we have seen gamers connecting multiple monitors for a bigger screen experience but no need to do that now.
The Odyssey Ark is nothing less than a gamer’s own gaming theatre. With a size of 55” and 4k UHD picture quality based on Quantum Mini-LED technology, the gaming experience is out of this world. 1000R curvature of the screen surrounds you from 3 dimensions to give u a feel that you are actually teleported in the game. The monitor has an all-new feature called cockpit mode in which you can rotate the screen at 90 degrees for an immersive and 3D gaming experience. Furthermore, the screen size and ratio can be adjusted to one’s own choice if the multiple-screen source is required for multiple content on one screen at the same time and to do that you get a control panel other than the remote with the monitor which is called Ark Dial. Ark dial would help you to access the settings that you would want to quickly change the aspect ratio or emulate a different screen size or change the sizes and positions of screens when you want multiple displays.
Screen lag was a big problem for gamers in the past especially in FPS games but not anymore. 165 Hz of refresh rate eliminates all kinds of lag completely and a 1 ms response time will make a smooth transition between frames. Eclipse ambient lighting system blocks all kinds of reflections to give a distortion-free view. The sound system is another very important part of gaming and Samsung has not neglected it. Sound dome technology has been used and as the name indicates, it gives you a surround sound experience. 2 speakers on each side i.e. 4 and 2 woofers in the middle with a 60w 2.2 channel system provide a 3-dimensional sound experience. Dolby Atmos and AI sound booster are the cherry on top. The sound is optimized for a near-field listening experience.
The Ark could be used as a smart TV with inbuilt apps like YouTube and Samsung TV which includes all streaming services so that when you are not gaming, you can watch your favorite TV series. Samsung Gaming Hub services will let you play games via streaming so no need to download your favorite game and no problems with storage space. Just turn on the Ark and start gaming. Connectivity is not an issue as the Ark comes with an all-in-one, connected 4k module box which has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, a LAN port, and 2 USB 2.0 ports.
